Building Find Home: how we re-imagined renting in Cameroon
The story behind Find Home: why we built it, who we built it for, and the design choices that made it feel like Cameroon.

Find Home started as a frustration. Renting in Cameroon happens in WhatsApp groups, Facebook posts, and word of mouth. There was no place to search, to compare, to verify. So we built one.
The core insight
Tenants do not trust listings they cannot verify. Landlords do not trust tenants they cannot vet. Agents lose time chasing leads they cannot track. Solve those three trust problems and the marketplace works.
Designing for the way people live
We optimised for low-data, dark-mode-first, and offline tolerance. We assumed unreliable connectivity, expensive megabytes, and a wide range of devices. Every screen ships at under 100KB on first paint.
What comes next
An iOS version, a web app, and deeper payment integrations. We are also opening Find Home for agents across more cities.
